Be the Change 2011
Welcome to the 2011 3rd Annual Be the Change Youth Convergence!
Who: The Be the Change Youth Convergence is a conference for youth ages 13-24 from all over Georgia. Organized by American Friends Service Committee and Georgia Peace and Justice Coalition
What: Conference to educate youth about Dr. King’s teachings and social justice organizing. The agenda is packed with exciting and informative activities designed to teach about issues Dr. King identified as key, as well as workshops to teach about how to eliminate those ills.
When: July 29-31, 2011. 7/29 3pm – 11pm, 7/30 8:30 am – 11 pm, 7/31 8:30 am – 2:00 pm.
Where: The location is Horizons School, 1900 DeKalb Ave, NE, Atlanta, GA 30307. Near the East Lake and Candler Park Marta stations
How much: $50 registration fee includes meals, but no one will be turned away for lack of funds.
